Find the right maths content for your year group and the learning that comes next
LTD lessons are organised so teachers can see both the detail of the current lesson and the wider progression. Browse by Reception, year group, key stage or mathematical area, then move from planning to the lesson, resources and assessment.
Show one early years or Year 1 lesson, one lower Key Stage 2 lesson and one upper Key Stage 2 lesson. Use a subtle progression line or visual connection between them.

England-first curriculum organisation
The UK collection is being organised for the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum in England. It includes a dedicated Reception pathway, Year 1 to Year 6 pages and overview pages for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
The content will be mapped to statutory curriculum requirements, but LTD also shows the smaller conceptual steps teachers need to build understanding between those statements.

Reception: Early number, pattern, shape, measure and rich experiences that build mathematical language and relationships.
Year 1: Secure number foundations, early calculation, place value, measure, shape and mathematical comparison.
Year 2: Flexible calculation, stronger place value, multiplication and division foundations, fractions, measure and data.
Year 3: Three-digit place value, formal and mental calculation, multiplicative thinking, fractions, measure, geometry and statistics.
Year 4: Deeper multiplication and division, fractions and decimals, place value, calculation, measure, geometry and data.
Year 5: Larger numbers, efficient calculation, fractions and decimals, percentage connections, measure, geometry and statistics.
Year 6: Consolidation and application across number, ratio, algebra, fractions, decimals, percentages, measure, geometry and statistics.

Planning that shows progression
Yearly overviews provide a suggested sequence, while topic documents show how ideas develop over time. Teachers can use these as a starting point for long-term and medium-term planning, then adjust the pace in response to assessment.
Maths leads can use the progression to support consistency in language, representations and strategy development across the school.
A clear visual showing how mathematical understanding develops across the primary years.

More than a list of curriculum statements
A curriculum statement tells teachers what pupils should learn. It does not always show the representations, experiences and intermediate ideas that make the learning possible.
LTD connects curriculum expectations with teachable classroom steps. That is where the lesson plans, videos, tasks and assessment become useful.
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
These nations have distinct curriculum frameworks. They should have separate mapping and terminology rather than being placed under the England structure.
Add a register-interest form for teachers and schools who would like updates as each collection is developed.
